The world is an amazing place - and even more incredible from the air.  All of these images were taken from a light plane or helicopter.  Thousands of feet up, shooting straight down out of an open door is an exhilarating experience! Things that are familiar on the ground take on a completely different look - abstract shapes, patterns, colours and textures that simply can't be seen on the ground.
